Questions
- What happens when I hit 5 tracks on Free?
- Nothing you already have goes away. You keep everything in your library and can still practise with all of it — you just cannot add a sixth track while you are on Free. Email us and we will move you to Pro; it costs nothing while we are in early access.
- How much does it cost right now?
- Nothing. Every plan is switched on and free while we’re in early access — no card, and no trial that quietly ends. The prices above are what each plan will cost when we start charging, shown now so that day is not a surprise.
- When will you start charging?
- We have not set a date. Early access is about finding the rough edges with a small group first, and we would rather get that right than rush it. When it changes we will give you plenty of notice by email before anything is charged — you will never be billed for something you did not choose.
- So why pick a plan at all?
- Because it decides what you get. Picking Pro switches on the score editor, unlimited warm-up routines of your own, unlimited scored takes and unlimited tracks straight away; Free stays on five tracks and one setlist. Pick whichever you would actually want — that is the most useful thing you can tell us.
- Can I change plan later?
- Yes. While we’re in early access, email us and we will move you — there is no billing to change, so there is nothing to cancel. Your library, loops, setlists and practice history are yours and stay put across a change.
- What does "up to 25 students" mean on Educator?
- Twenty-five student accounts linked to yours. You can share tracks, setlists, scores and grooves with them, and exchange recordings with your notes on each take. Beyond 25, Studio removes the cap; teacher seats are coming.
- Does it work with my electronic kit?
- Yes. Plug the module in over USB, or a USB-MIDI cable on its 5-pin MIDI OUT, and choose MIDI (e-kit) as the input on the practice card. Every hit arrives with the drum it landed on and how hard, so a MIDI take needs no microphone calibration and ends with a by-drum breakdown. Live input needs Chrome, Edge or Firefox — Safari has no Web MIDI. Every plan gets three scored takes a week and Pro has no limit; downloading and importing MIDI files works on every plan and in every browser.
- Can I get grooves into and out of my DAW?
- Both ways. Download MIDI on any groove, score or warm-up routine gives you a Standard MIDI File on the General MIDI drum map, repeats written out, ready to drop on a drum track. Import MIDI… in Groove Studio takes a .mid file from your DAW or an e-kit recording and turns it into notation — as a groove on every plan, or as a full score on Pro.
- How much recording storage does Educator include?
- A gigabyte, counted across everything you have sent and everything your students have sent you. There is no cap on how many recordings that is — short clips go further than long ones. Studio lifts the limit entirely, and deleting a recording gives the space back.
