Terms

Last updated 23 August 2026.

Your account

One account per person. Keep your password to yourself — anything done with your account is treated as done by you. A teacher can invite a student, and can unlink them again; unlinking ends every share between the two accounts but does not delete the student’s own work, which stays theirs.

What you upload

You keep ownership of everything you upload, and you are responsible for having the right to use it. Groove IO is a tool for practising with music you already have: it supplies no sheet music, no recordings and no backing tracks. Uploading a transcription or a recording you have no right to share is not something this tool makes lawful.

Video, and other people

A video you share is visible to the person you shared it with until you take it back. Film yourself, not other people who have not agreed to it, and do not upload anything featuring someone who cannot consent. If a student is a child, the guardian named at sign-up is who we will talk to about their account.

Fair use of the service

Storage limits are per plan and are published on the pricing page. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law, and we will tell you why when we do.

Billing

Paid plans are not live yet. Signing up creates a free account and nothing is charged. When billing opens you will be told before anything is taken, and prices shown on the pricing page are what you will be asked to pay.

Availability

Groove IO is provided as-is, without warranty. We aim to keep it running and your data intact, but keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose — particularly the only copy of a chart or a video.
